SILZ and JINGDONG Property Announce A Strategic Partnership to Establish Technology-Driven Logistics and Supply Chain Hub in Riyadh Integrated
2025-12-30
The Special Integrated Logistics Zone Company (SILZ), the developer and operator of Riyadh Integrated, the Kingdom’s first special integrated logistics zone, has signed an agreement with JINGDONG Property, the infrastructure investment and asset management arm of JD.com, Inc., under which JD Logistics will manage the operations of the high-tech warehouses upon completion.
Under this strategic partnership, JINGDONG Property will establish a state-of-the-art, technology-enabled logistics and supply chain hub within Riyadh Integrated. Spanning approximately a 40,000 square meter plot within the bonded zone, the facility will serve as a beacon for the future of global trade. The partnership is set to introduce a new era in Saudi Arabia. JINGDONG Property will deploy its proprietary, intelligent logistics systems. These technologies are designed to drastically reduce processing times for high-demand sectors, including electronics and ICT, ensuring that Riyadh Integrated becomes a vital node in JINGDONG Property’s global supply chain network.
Designed to meet the growing demand for high-standard warehousing across sectors, the facility will be tailored to customers’ core needs for air-freight transfers and rapid cross-docking. It will incorporate JD.com’s proven automation systems and digital operations management technologies, with optimized internal traffic flows, well-planned access points, and supporting facilities to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Dr. Fadi Al-Buhairan, Chief Executive Officer of SILZ, commented: “The signing with JINGDONG Property marks a pivotal moment for SILZ and the broader National Transport and Logistics Strategy. By allocating nearly 40,000 square meters to one of the world’s most advanced logistics technology leaders, we are not just renting land; we are enabling a future-ready ecosystem. This reflects our 'Integrated' value proposition, where world-class fiscal incentives meet unparalleled airside access, allowing global giants like JD.com to localize their innovation and talent here in Riyadh”.
A key highlight of the agreement is intelligent warehousing to industry partners and local talent. Once completed, the project is expected to create new employment opportunities, support regional industrial development, and contribute to sustainable economic growth through resilient, high-standard logistics infrastructure.
The project is a direct contribution to Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on the localization of advanced technologies and the creation of high-skilled jobs for Saudi nationals. By integrating JINGDONG Property’s global expertise with SILZ’s strategic location at King Khalid International Airport, the hub will enable specialized fulfillment services that support the Kingdom's rapidly growing digital economy sectors. As SILZ continues to attract anchor tenants from diverse sectors, ranging from aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) with Rotortrade to global forwarding with DHL, the addition of JINGDONG Property cements Riyadh Integrated’s reputation as a multifunctional, high-value industrial destination where world-class strategy meets technological execution.
